I thought it was difficult to read, but I really enjoyed learning about the subject. Feb 29, Hanna Belle rated it it was ok. This has the potential to be an interesting criminal justice book focusing on women within the system but it failed to captivate me. It is basically just lists of study after study with no substance around the studies; there was no explanation for them as to why they are relevant.

This is a very dense book and I was disappointed with that. There was also a lot of typos which is troubling for a college level textbook! Sep 16, Hannah Penrod rated it liked it.

Strong, compelling content presented in a way that wasn't dense or boring to read- hard to find in a textbook! I expect better quality for an expensive textbook.
